Stella+Chris :: Married!

Stella and Chris both got ready, somehow avoiding each other with family and friends everywhere, at the quaint The Temperance House in Newtown, PA. They tied the knot at Stella's family's church Annunciation Greek Orthodox – one of the most colorful, detailed, stunning churches I have ever seen! We had a quick, good luck sprinkle of rain during the ride to Jericho Mountain Orchards, which gave us a cool afternoon with stunning skies and a boisterous, no-time-to-rest-dance-fest (thanks to Seizmos' killer Greek music). Dollar bills flew, there was contagious leaping and laughing, and the photo booth didn't see a moment of downtime. It was epic.

I also have to add a sidebar: Nearly every detail of Stella and Chris' wedding was handcrafted together with family and friends; the bouquets, centerpieces, favors, invitations (designed by the very talented graphic designer and groomsmen, Rob Huffman), programs, photo booth props, and my favorite... Stella's wedding dress. Her 83-years young Grandmother, Katherine, made the dress with silk she'd been saving for 30 years, combined with lace they picked out together. Oh, and she also made her own, and Stella's Mother's dress as well, with her own two hands. I was so excited to meet her in person and nicknamed her "Katherine the Great." She was amazing.
