Having a photographer as a close friend or family member means that no holiday, get together or special event, goes undocumented. You can never escape the camera – and many of them have begun to ignore me completely when I'm shooting...in a good way! This is why I was surprised, and incredibly honored, when my niece Nina, asked me to photograph her family as a birthday gift! We started in their yard - making sure to include the family-members-on-all-fours, Ed and Dutch, and then visited Longwood Gardens, right around the corner. Here's a few favorites from our afternoon together:
