Saturday was my first co-ed, Baby Shower Extravaganza, at Paul & Nora's backyard in Abington, PA. The beautiful scrapbooks! The amazing weather! The fire-engine cake! It was so fantastic...that we didn't get home until 1 am. Can't wait to celebrate birthday numero uno...
A few weeks ago I photographed the ceremony and portraits for not one but TWO Marine Corps Birthday Balls. It was my first time attending...and an honor to be there. Back-to-back events, hours away, can certainly be a challenge, but thank goodness there were many, many Marines were right there to help set-up. (Thanks again to everyone who carried, lifted and helped out!)
Marine Wing Support Squadron 472 celebrated at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, New Jersey. 
India Battery held their Ball in Reading, Pennsylvania. 
Remember the maternity photos of Alana a few months ago? Well...introducing baby Olivia! Sunday I photographed her Baptism at Saint Phillip's in Philadelphia - and as you can see, she looked adorable in her little dress! Congratulations Alana, Louie & Madison!
Last night Harry celebrated his 40th with family and friends at the Waterfall Room in Philadelphia. I hadn't been there in years and I was very impressed by their recent renovations! The food, the service, the decor - everything was top-notch. The DJ's - Johnny & Eddie - played a great mix of music - that had people dancing at tables, at the bar, everywhere!

Last Sunday was Moira's Baptism at Assumption Church in Emerson, New Jersey. She looked like a teeny-tiny angel in her dress, and didn't make a peep the entire ceremony! Congratulations Billy, Michele & Moira!

Two weekends ago I had the rare opportunity to print letterpress invitations that I had designed for a friend's wedding - at Madmaude & Co. in Philadelphia.
If you're scratching your head and saying "Letterpress? What's that all about?" Here's wikipedia's two cents on the topic:
"Letterpress printing is a term for printing text with movable type, in which the raised surface of the type is inked and then pressed against a smooth substance to obtain an image in reverse. In addition to the direct impression of inked movable type onto paper or another receptive surface, the term letterpress can also refer to the direct impression of inked media such as zinc "cuts" (plates) or linoleum blocks onto a receptive surface."
Still scratching your head? Well, basically, it's an older form of printing that, similarly to darkroom printing with photographic film, is becoming less common, harder to find, and more of an artisan process. You really need to hold a letterpress piece in your hands, to feel and marvel at the quality. Once you do, you're hooked.
Ryan and Leslie are in the process of moving to a larger studio and plan to begin teaching letterpress classes, in addition to printing beautiful letterpress pieces for their clients. For those of you interested in learning more, check them out at: www.madmaude.com

Sunday afternoon was Phillip's "Royal Birthday Party" at Cescaphe Ballroom in Northen Liberties - what a grand event! While the adults relaxed and enjoyed the delicious food...the kids danced, did the limbo, and even had some surprise visitors - Elmo and Cookie Monster... Here's a sneak peek:
Last Saturday night was Jamie's 30th Birthday at John Nicholas Caterers in Philadelphia - what a fantastic party!
I also was lucky enough to photograph Jamie and her husband Richie's wedding celebration last year, so it was great to see everyone again; how her family and friends were doing and how quickly the all of their cousins, nieces and nephews had grown... They're a fun and lively bunch - so much fun to photograph - especially on the dancefloor! Here are a few highlights:
