I met Orana and Gonzalo last April while visiting Peru; my husband Chris and I experienced a "Taste of Lima" with Gonzalo's Land of a Thousand Flavors tour...and the rest is history!
The two were married in Pachacamac, about 40 minutes outside of the city, at an amazing restaurant called La Gloria Del Campo. It was like no wedding I've ever experienced...truly unique, just like them!

Susannah+Greg :: Married
Last October I met Susannah (a fellow wedding photographer) at a tradeshow in NYC. We hit it off from the beginning and quickly started keeping in touch over email. Never did I imagine that less than a year later I'd be headed on a ferry to Fire Island, to photograph her wedding! What an amazing adventure...and a fantastic place; wild deer, bamboo forests, warm people and no cars to worry about! All just an hour from Manhattan. Crazy right?!
Susannah and Greg's guests were amazing. They came from NYC, from across the country, and from multiple continents...and everyone was ready to party! Chris and I made it until almost 2 am, but rumor has it they rocked on until 6 am! Thanks so much for having us be part of your day!
Their wedding party consisted of ten flower children!
In addition to being a wedding photographer, Susannah also works with the Deaf; one of her readings, "The Apache Prayer," was signed.
My favorite photo of the lovely bride!

Peru
Chris and I just got back from Peru and were enchanted by the people (who were amazingly friendly and passionate), the food (literally every morsel was delicious), and the vast array of diverse sights, sounds and colors. We divided-up our trip into three distinctive parts: the cosmopolitan capital of Lima; the historic, colorful city of Cuzco; and a trek on the Inca Trail, ending at Machu Picchu. It was exciting, at times exhausting, and by the end, life-changing. Here are some favorites from the many photos we took...
Inca Trail
There are two ways to get to Machu Picchu: a train ride, that takes a couple of hours, or a hike, that takes a few days. We decided to be adventurous and do a 4-day hike of the Inca Trail with Peru Treks, which was the highlight of the trip! We trekked through ten ecological layers, from dense, tropical vegetation to magical cloudforest; climbed challenging terrain, summitting on day two at 14,000 feet; camped by waterfalls and small remote villages; and on the final day, awoke just after 4 am, and hiked to Machu Picchu in time for sunrise. Well, it was cloudy, but the sun was in there somewhere... It was fantastic!
Our group of sixteen was the best!
We passed small villages and homes along the way. This little girl was the cutest!
And there's the train...
It was pretty steep at times, but I preferred downward to up!
"See...a 4-day hike is much more fun than some old train ride!"
Our guides Cesar and Freddy...awesome!
How cool are these flowers?!
Our amazing porters, who literally ran with huge packs on their backs to set-up lunch and camp for us, cheered each time we finished. They rocked.
Machu Picchu!
