When I arrived at Cory and Becca's childhood home, I immediately knew this place was special. It's the kind of spot you imagine as a child in some fantastical tale where you're exploring and get lost for hours. The beautiful stone house, it's immense yard, the gardens which added bits of color everywhere, and the hidden pathways covered in ivy were almost distracting!
Their parents, Alan and Pam have lived here for decades, and Cory and Zack had their wedding in the yard. How lucky Lex, Dahlia and Charlotte are to get to run, play hide and seek and explore just like their Moms did when they were little girls...

Stacey, Travis & Vivian :: Family Portraits
I met Stacey and Travis briefly during a quick portrait at Stella and Chris's wedding. This past weekend I photographed them with their adorable little girl Vivian - who's turning one - and has a party this weekend! Aside from when I arrived and snapped a few photos of her napping, Viv was super energetic; she's a serious mover and shaker who doesn't sit still!
I managed to grab a quick shot of her chic shoes (and skinny jeans!) before she kicked them off...
And she's off!
Thank you so much Stella for getting us together... and Happy First Birthday Vivian!

Nicole, Carl & Kieran (and one on the way!) :: Family Portraits
Last year we headed out to some favorite Philly spots together, and this time we changed it up a bit and got our nature on at Wissahickon Valley Park. This lovely, little known spot off Lincoln Drive is a favorite of Nicole and Carl's; they've hiked and rode bikes there for years.
Kieran has gotten so big! He was enthralled by the sights and sounds as we walked through the woods - and after spotting a little chipmunk - kept calling out "Where are you Chipmunkie?" over and over. He's so stinkin' cute.
The biggest update (drum roll, please) is that a new baby is on the way! I can't wait to meet the newest member of the family!

Beach Family Portraits :: The More the Merrier!
Cristina – who's been my good friend since high school – asked me to visit the Jersey Shore to photograph her sweet little family. So we picked a date and met on an unseasonably warm Saturday afternoon. It was the very same beach where we took Cristina and Doug's maternity portraits two years ago!
I have to brag for a moment, as I shot this next photo while holding Colin... I was very impressed with my balancing ability!
Cristina's cousin asked if I could fit in a session with her family as well. Of course! So Jen, her husband Chris, and their adorable boys, Brian and Brandon, joined us on the beach in Point Pleasant too.
And As it turns out, Cristina's good friend from college – Colleen – was thinking of coming with her husband Chad and three kids. So they came too; the more the merrier!
I love this photo of Grace, Madeline and Luke, all snuggled together.
Thanks again everyone for a fun day at the beach!

Collin's Christening
It seems like only yesterday I was watching Jeff and Diana christen their daughter, Kaelyn. In reality, what feels like just a blink of an eye was nearly three years ago! Suddenly, she's a walking, talking little girl. I'm sure no one finds this more profound than Jeff and Diana, who just christened their second child, Collin.
When I arrived at Jeff and Diana's, I felt the excitement filling every room. Family members (who traveled from NY to FL) prepared for the event as Kaelyn wandered from room to room in her adorable lavender dress and pink, puffy snowboots. Her brother, on the other hand, just went with the flow. A sweet and easy-going baby, Collin explores the world around him with curious eyes and a smile that captivates you from across the room. He didn't even squirm as Mom and Dad dressed him!
The final photos are from both christenings. The left is Kaelyn, the right is Collin - just three years later. On both occassions, I found myself caught completely off guard by this tender moment. I love the joy, pride and emotion on Diana and Jeff's faces.
